End Configurations
For all inflatable bladders designed with ends, there is a solid, non-expanding portion at each end followed by a transition area where the expansion gradually increases until it reaches the full sealing position, as shown in the illustrations below. Please consult the "Profile Details" tab within the Standard Profiles section of this site for detailed dimensions (sign-in required). For strip style bladders, we recommend the ends be securely clamped as illustrated below. For clamp dimensions, consult Pawling.

Type 10 Inflatable Profiles
Type 10 inflatable profiles are available with two different sealed end heights - low and high. The low ends are sealed at a height approximately 10% higher than the relaxed hollow profile and the high ends sealed at a height approximately 20% higher than the relaxed hollow profile.
Ends of strip seals should be securely clamped as illustrated below.
