Force Generation Guidelines

Use the form below to determine how much force our inflatable clamps or actuators will generate. Instructions follow:

  • PSIG/Bar = Enter the amount of pressure the part will be inflated to.
  • W (in/mm) = enter the estimated width that the profile will be in contact with. For example, using a PRS535 profile and a 0 in (mm) gap, the width would be about 1.75" (44.45mm)
  • Length (in/mm) = enter the overall length of the part
  • Plug Length = if the part is designed in a straight configuration, enter the estimated size of the size used to seal the ends of the profile. For endless styles, enter this as 0
  • Click the calculate button
