Standard Profiles

Type 01 Profiles - The original Pneuma-Seal profile series and still our most popular. This design allows the bulb portion to fully expand to cover the required gap and the "foot" provides an easy way of mechnical retention.The type 01B profiles include a serrated sealing surface where each serration acts as its own sealing bead. Type 02 Profiles - The Type 02 profiles are designed primarily for endless radial expansion inward/outward applications where the seal can be snap fit into a standard u-shape retention channel. These profiles may also be used when an application requires a minimum seal height or as straight inflatable clamps/actuators. Type 03 Profiles - The Type 03A and 03C have a convoluted design providing the greatest gap coverage over the smallest seal width. The Type 03D and 03E have a flatter profile (with less gap coverage), but are better suited for food or pharmaceutical applications because they are easier to clean. All Type 03 profiles are designed for a snap fit into a mating dovetail groove. These designs are typically not recommended for radial expansion inward applications. Type 04 Profiles - The Type 04 has a similar convoluted design to the Type 03 series, but is designed for ease of retention within a square channel. Type 07 Profiles - The Type 07 profiles are designed to provide large surface contact for lifting/clamping applications, but may also be used as seals. Standard aluminum channel sizes may be used to retain these profiles (see technical info for desciptions). Click on a specific profile number for further details (sign in required).

Type 10 Profiles - The Type 10A,10B, and 10X series are designed for high pressure, low gap applications. When inflated, the sidewalls elongate to cover the gap. These designs are very popular in Europe. The 10X series is our newest line of profiles that we offer and incorporates many design improvements (see product sheet for details). Type 22 Profiles - When the ID or OD is too small for a standard Pneuma-Seal cross section, fully molded inflatable bladders (with a mating housing) may be employed. ** Note: each bladder is designed for a specific shaft (either ID or OD) diameter.
